Over 3s at Maples Nursery

• 50 children attend each session. Either morning or afternoon.

• The morning session runs from 9.00-11.30 and the afternoon from 12.45-3.15. Part time places are free.

• 20 full time places are available within this, and places are also available at our breakfast and after-school provision. Full time, breakfast, and after-school places must be paid for. Places are prioritised for people living in SureStart postcodes who are working or studying full time, and key workers (teachers, nurses).

• The children are supported by an experienced, well qualified, welcoming staff of eight – four teachers (including the Head) and four nursery nurses.

• Maples is used by universities and colleges to place trainee teachers, nursery workers and nursery nurses, so the adult : child ratios exceed the minimum standards of 1:13.

• The main criterion for admission to a part-time place is age – we prioritise children according to age and those transferring to primary school will be offered places first.
